The A&FRC - Airman and Family Readiness Center - is the service organization for military members and military family members.

 

The A&FRC provides services in four areas:

 

1. The information and referral, counseling and follow-up.

2. Coordination and consultation with other base and civilian agencies to strengthen base policies and programs, all in an effort to benefit military members and family members.

3. Assistance for base leadership in their efforts to meet member and family needs.

4. Family life education and skills program.

Why is the Airman and Family Readiness Center Important?

The Air Force realizes there is a direct relationship between a member's ability to successfully accomplish a mission, and the quality of life which his or her family experiences. Because of this relationship, many programs and policies are available to promote a positive family environment.  The A&FRC helps enhance quality of life for military members and/or family members. The A&FRC also helps commanders meet their responsibilities for the health and welfare of every member of the Air Force family.

What do the Airman and Family Readiness Centers do?

To enhance quality of life, the A&FRC serves as the command's service organization for families! To accomplish this, the A&FRC:

 

à Works with commanders and units to enhance family well-being

à Is the primary A&FRC Resource for coordinating family programs on and off base

à Acts as an information and referral A&FRC Resource

à Provides family education and life skills programs

à Point of Contact for Air Force Aid services and programs

McConnell AFB Integrated Delivery System (McIDS) is made up of the McConnell AFB helping agencies. Through actions and programs, they work together to assist and strengthen our community.

Readiness

Programs designed to ease the stresses of airmen and their families during deployments, extended TDYs or remote tours. 

 

Relocation

If you are just arriving at McConnell or have received orders to PCS and you would like to find out more about your current or future base, please contact us for a relocation packet.

 

School Liaison

The school liaison is available to assist our families in acquiring information about area schools and home schooling.

 

Sponsor Training

This is a CBT that can only be accessed if you are using a computer that is on the McConnell AFB network.

 

Staff

Our  Community Readiness Consultant’s are responsible for specific squadrons and organizations on base. Find your CRC and make an appointment with them for any of your needs.

 

Transition

Whether separating or retiring, transition assistance will help to prepare to for the civilian sector.
